Automatic Dual Meet Scoring

In dual meets, you run several teams together in a single race but then instead of coming up with a single set of scores to place all the teams in order, you score each team against every other team as if only those two teams had run together. It can result in a lot of scores from a single race. If you run 4 teams (often referred to as a double-dual meet), you get 6 scores (6 possible combinations of two teams). 5 teams would produce 10 scores. 8 teams would produce a whopping 28 scores. That can take a long time to calculate manually.

Dual Meet Scoring Button Fortunately, Version 2.10 of RunnerCalc includes a new feature to automatically perform dual scoring. Once you have the finish order recorded for all the runners in the race, you press a single button to start the dual scoring. Within a minute or two, RunnerCalc will complete all the scoring and produce a results document that shows all the head-to-head scores between each pair of teams.

Even more convenient, if you combine different divisions (Varsity and JV) and both men and women into a single race, the Dual Meet Scoring will automatically separate the men and women and the any divisions and score them separately. No extra work on your part!

Results are available in report form showing all the head-to-head team scores, a list of all individual runners in finish order, and a separate summary sheet of scores for each team.
